The story follows 2 main characters - Detective Sam Porter suffering from loss and untangling a web of lies, deceit, betrayals and murders; and Anson Bishop, the diabolical and dare I say, brilliant antagonist. You have to read these books in order to understand the entire story. Author @jdbarker_author has laid out a plot so shocking and surprising, you won't stop reading until you get to the conclusion of this tale. It's fast paced, it's incredibly shocking in places and it will keep you on the edge of your seat! I have rarely read books where you can actually say the phrases 'nothing is as it seems' or 'nobody is who they say they are'; but these books deliver and how!
