Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli

Brecia, Meghan, and Skye were murdered by James Carson, a charming man who lured them online. After their deaths, their spirits seek revenge and try to prevent James from killing again. Will they be able to stop him in time from committing more murders and hurting innocent lives?

This was a different kind of POV and that's what intrigued me to read the novel. Brecia, Meghan and Skye were murdered by James to satisfy his blood-lust. He lures women online, stalks them, confronts them, sometimes loses interest and keeps multiple women on hook to be able to carry out his nefarious motives. Brecia is the most strong willed of the three; Meghan, the one caught in limbo and Skye, the youngest of all, with a common aim to stop James. Being spirits there is only so much they can do, but they try their best. Their aim is to protect James' wife and children, come what may and finally rest in peace.

I liked this book. It's the only one I have read from author @noelleihliauthor and I will read more of her books. The story moves at a good pace. As a reader, you feel the struggle, the helplessness and the gut wrenching certainty of knowing that across the world, at any moment, women go through danger and can never know if they will reach home to their loved ones. I do wish that there was a bit more elaboration on why James behaved the way he did. It's very briefly indicated that he suffered trauma, which makes sense, but it felt a bit incomplete.

I finished this in one sitting and liked it. If you decide to read it, pay heed to trigger warnings. Please do not consume any drink you have not seen made yourself, take an uber home, and try your best to keep friends and family informed of your whereabouts!

I give it 4/5
